 [Jiwan Kim, Edaily Reporter] Korean Biopharma Stocks Rally on Clinical Progress, Production Expansion and Licensing Deal Several Korean biopharmaceutical companies drew investor attention on June 2 as they announced key business milestones ranging from clinical development progress and manufacturing expansion to a major global licensing agreement.
 Vivozon Pharmaceutical surged to its daily limit after unveiling plans to expand production of its non opioid painkiller Enafra. 
 Prestige Biopharma gained on expectations surrounding the advancement of its pancreatic cancer antibody candidate PBP1510 into Phase 2a development. 
 Meanwhile, Oscotec extended gains after signing a licensing deal worth up to $665 million with U.S.-based Agios Pharmaceuticals.
 Vivozon Pharmaceutical Hits Limit-Up on Enafra Demand
 Vivozon Pharmaceutical closed at won 2,830, up 29.82% from the previous session, after announcing additional production of approximately 120,000 vials of Enafra.
 The company said demand from hospitals has increased rapidly, leading to faster-than-expected depletion of existing inventory. Manufacturing will be handled by China's Huiyu Pharmaceutical, a GMP certified injectable drug manufacturer.
 Enafra is a non opioid analgesic developed by Vivozon. The drug has attracted attention for offering pain relief efficacy comparable to opioid analgesics while reducing risks associated with addiction and respiratory depression. Adoption by major tertiary hospitals, including Samsung Medical Center and Severance Hospital, has further boosted market expectations.

 Prestige Biopharma Advances Pancreatic Cancer Program
 Prestige Biopharma rose 9.34% to won 7,140 as investors reacted to progress in the development of PBP1510, its antibody candidate targeting PAUF (Pancreatic Adenocarcinoma Upregulated Factor).
 The company recently submitted an abstract to ESMO 2026 and is preparing for a Phase 2a study later this year. Updated efficacy and safety data are expected to be presented by Dr. King of Northwell Health Cancer Institute, the principal investigator of the trial.
 PBP1510 targets PAUF, a biomarker associated with pancreatic cancer progression, metastasis and immune evasion. The company is also developing companion diagnostic technologies based on both tissue and blood biomarkers as part of its precision medicine strategy.

 Oscotec Jumps on $665 Million Licensing Deal
 Oscotec climbed 4.81% to won 42,000 following news that it signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Agios Pharmaceuticals for cevidoplenib, an oral SYK inhibitor being developed for autoimmune diseases.
 Under the agreement, Agios obtains exclusive worldwide rights to develop and commercialize the drug candidate. Oscotec will receive an upfront payment of $25 million and could earn up to $665 million in total through development, regulatory and commercial milestones, in addition to future royalties.

 Cevidoplenib has completed global Phase 2 studies in immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

 “Following the completion of the global Phase 2 program, we held discussions with multiple international pharmaceutical companies.” said Tae Young Yoon CEO of Oscotec. 
 “We concluded that Agios, with its strong expertise in rare hematologic diseases, is the ideal partner to maximize the value of cevidoplenib.”
 He added that the company hopes the drug will evolve into a global therapy capable of providing new treatment options for patients worldwide.
