 [Seungkwon Kim, Edaily Reporter] On July 29, South Korea’s domestic stock market experienced continued weakness, leading inverse Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) tracking the Kosdaq’s decline to dominate the top gainers list. More than half of the top 30 highest-yielding funds on the day were inverse tracking funds.
 Amid widespread market losses, select bio and healthcare stocks managed to rally, led by T&amp;R Biofab and Lemon Healthcare. Both companies emerged as standout "counter-trend" performers, backed by strong first-half earnings improvements and a re-evaluation of their technological competitiveness.

 ◇ T&amp;R Biofab Surges 7.2% as ECM Revenue Spikes 46% in H1
 According to KG Zeroin MP Doctor, T&amp;R Biofab closed at 2,525 KRW on July 29, up 7.2% from the previous trading day. The rally was driven by robust earnings expectations. The company reported consolidated first-half revenue of 18.3 billion KRW, representing a 46% year-over-year increase. Second-quarter revenue alone reached 9.5 billion KRW, up more than 10% from the previous quarter. Analysts attribute this rebound to a market re-evaluation of T&amp;R Biofab's undervalued regenerative medicine capabilities.
 T&amp;R Biofab is a regenerative medicine specialist primarily focused on 3D printing-based biodegradable scaffolds. It has rapidly expanded into extracellular matrix (ECM)-based biosurgical products. Leveraging its decellularized ECM technology, the company offers a comprehensive portfolio including the composite hemostat "Hemofix," wound dressing "Reprofoam," and acellular dermal matrix (ADM) products.
 The biosurgical division served as the primary engine for earnings growth. Second-quarter standalone revenue rose 125% year-over-year and 35% quarter-over-quarter to 3.7 billion KRW. Annual ECM revenue surged from 1.4 billion KRW in 2024 to 3.6 billion KRW last year, followed by a 214.6% year-over-year jump to 1.3 billion KRW in Q1 2026. This top-line expansion narrowed the consolidated operating loss ratio significantly from 60.1% in Q1 2025 to 10.7% in Q1 2026.
 The company’s wholly-owned subsidiary, Bliss Pack, also reinforced financial stability. Bliss Pack posted tentative first-half revenue of 11.8 billion KRW, up 25% year-over-year, supported by strong ODM/OEM capabilities and a monthly production capacity of 4 million freeze-dried cosmetic balls.
 The main catalyst for the second half of the year is pending approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). T&amp;R Biofab is seeking FDA clearance for its 3D-printed biodegradable scaffold "TnR CFI" (CranioFacial Implant) and recently submitted its final response to the agency's request for supplementary information.
 "We submitted the final response for FDA review supplementation on July 1 and expect final approval after mid-August," a company official stated. "Once approved, it will pave the way for our full-scale expansion into the U.S. and global markets."
 The company is simultaneously advancing its pipeline. "We are preparing clinical trials for a medical-grade ECM-based skin booster aimed at a 2028 commercial launch, while also developing drug-eluting hydrogel devices," the official added.
 Kiwoom Securities analyst Oh Hyun-jin projected T&amp;R Biofab’s annual revenue to reach 46 billion KRW, a 65% year-over-year increase, driven by growth in its cosmetics business. In a separate report, Kiwoom set a target price of 4,800 KRW, forecasting an accelerated turn-around based on balance sheet stabilization and subsidiary growth.

 Lemon Healthcare finished the trading session at 4,120 KRW, up 6.2% from the previous day. The uptick reflects renewed market attention on its flagship "Lemon Data Bridge" (LDB) technology following recent listing procedures. The company positions itself not merely as a system integration (SI) provider, but as a real-time, bidirectional medical data intermediary platform.
 Data fragmentation across Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS)—compounded by closed medical IT environments—has long hindered digital healthcare development. Lemon Healthcare addressed this hurdle through LDB, which integrates three core technologies: 'Lemon Private' (standardizing APIs into JSON format), 'QAB' (QueryAgentBox, enabling real-time data transfer in isolated hospital networks without altering legacy code), and 'F-Flow' (an integrated platform operations framework).
 Deployed across smart hospital services (LDB-H), electronic documents/certificates (LDB-E), and data relay services (LDB-D), LDB operates on a shared architecture that allows new hospitals to join via simple account creation without additional custom development—a defining characteristic of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). While its core moat stems from nearly a decade of operational integration across 130 hospitals, Lemon Healthcare also holds roughly 30 domestic and 10 international patents across the U.S., China, Japan, and Europe.
 The company is also positioning itself as a key data provider for healthcare AI. Leveraging over 120 million consented medical records gathered through its "Claim of the Gods" app, Lemon Healthcare aims to supply standardized data to AI developers.
 "The operational barrier we have built over 10 years across 130 hospitals cannot be easily duplicated by capital alone," a Lemon Healthcare representative said. "In the long term, this deep operational expertise will serve as the foundation that enables us to compete alongside tech giants."
