 엔씨소프트가 '아이온2' 시즌2 랭킹 이슈에 대해 사과했다. 보상 방안은 내부 검토를 거쳐 공지할 예정이다.
 엔씨소프트는 7일 오후 7시 30분 아이온2 라이브 방송을 진행했다. 김남준 아이온2 개발PD와 소인섭 아이온2 사업실장이 시즌2 랭킹 이슈 대응과 시즌3 업데이트 내용을 공유했다.
 먼저 시즌2 랭킹 관련 버그와 어뷰징에 대해 사과했다. 악용 유저를 적발하려 했으나 일반 플레이 데이터와 구분이 어려워 무고한 제재가 발생할 수 있다는 판단이다. 보상 방안에 대해서는 내부 운영팀과 검토를 거쳐 최종 결정을 공지로 안내할 예정이다.
 시즌3부터는 랭킹 시스템이 개편된다. 초월에서 난입 시 랭킹 갱신이 불가능하도록 변경되며, 클래스 기준으로 전환된다. 어뷰징 방지를 위한 기능 보완도 지속적으로 진행할 방침이다.
 마도성, 살성, 수호성에 클래스 케어가 적용된다. 마도성은 설치형 스킬의 효율이 개선되며, 살성은 은신 해제 조건이 완화되고 환영 분신에 심장 찌르기 재시전 삭제 기능이 추가됐다. 4월 22일에는 파티 시너지 전반 조정이 예고됐다.
 신규 원정 '환영의 회랑'이 추가된다. 입장 레벨은 보통 3000, 어려움 3500이며, 신규 유일 장비와 침식 장비가 드롭된다. 신규 데바니온 보드 '유스티엘'도 함께 등장하며, 이후 추가되는 모든 던전에서 획득 가능하다. 
 어비스 중층이 삭제되고 비행 불가 지상 어비스가 추가된다. 핫스팟은 제거되며, 시즌 랭킹은 클래스별로 분리 운영된다. 어비스 장비에 PvP 피해 증폭과 내성을 올릴 수 있는 잠재력 시스템이 추가된다.
 펫·종족 이해도 프리셋과 만신전 프리셋이 도입된다. 종족 이해도 경험치가 기존 대비 70% 수준으로 하향돼 성장 속도가 빨라지며, 기존 펫 결정 사용분은 소급 지급된다. 토벌전은 삭제되고 보상은 다른 콘텐츠 보상으로 이전된다.
 계승 제작이 도입된다. 하위 제작 장비의 강화, 돌파, 영혼 각인을 유지한 채 상위 장비로 업그레이드할 수 있으며, 실패 없이 확정으로 진행된다. 유일에서 영웅으로의 계승도 추가되며, 시즌당 3회까지 100% 확률로 가능하다.
 숙제 완화가 대폭 이뤄진다. 원정과 초월 횟수가 축소되고, 일일 던전과 슈고 페스타 등 주요 콘텐츠가 캐릭터별에서 서버별로 전환된다. 다만 원정 횟수 제한이 과도하다는 유저 반응에 따라 횟수 조정이나 키나 수급처 추가 등을 검토할 계획이다.
 원정 1~2티어 키나 보상이 100% 각인 키나로 전환된다. 3티어는 50%가 각인 키나로 지급되며, 상황에 따라 추후 100%로 변경될 수 있다. 오드 에너지 구매 수량도 서버별 주간 20개로 확대돼 메인 캐릭터의 플레이 여유가 늘어난다.
 루드라 영웅 장비 획득 확률이 2배로 상향된다. 팔찌에는 천장 시스템이 추가돼 최소 획득이 보장된다. 침식의 정화소는 오드 에너지 큐브 키나가 200만으로 상향되고, 상자 보상에 영웅 조율석이 추가된다.
 신규·복귀 유저를 위한 지원도 강화된다. 1큐나 부스팅 패스가 계정당 1회 한정으로 제공되며, 성장 서포트 시스템이 추가돼 미션 달성 시 시즌2 던전까지 합류할 수 있는 수준으로 성장을 지원한다.
