 라이엇게임즈 '발로란트' 다섯 살 생일을 축하하기 위해 많은 팬들이 DDP를 찾았다. 국민 게임으로 자리 잡아가는 발로란트의 인기를 엿볼 수 있는 대목이다.  
 2일부터 22일까지 DDP 쇼룸에서 5주년 발로란트 팝업이 열린다. '내가 발로란트를 플레이하는 이유'라는 이름으로 발로란트가 보여준 다양한 플레이 순간과 다양한 감정들을 다시 한 번 경험할 수 있도록 구성된다.
 특히 이번 행사는 체험형 이벤트존이 눈길을 사로잡는다. 발로란트 유저라면 공감할 수 있는, 그리고 매일 같이 즐기는 루틴을 바탕으로 꾸며졌다. 팝업을 방문하는 팬 대다수가 재밌게 즐길 수 있을 것으로 예상된다.
 스파이크 해체에 소요되는 7초를 정확히 예측해 버튼을 누르는 '0.01초 승부수'라던가, 사격장 '보통' 난도에서 30발 중 25발을 맞추는 부스 등 발로란트 유저라면 누구나 경험했거나, 하고 있는 요소다.
 모든 유저들이 손꼽아 기다리는 야시장 운세를 확인하는 '오늘의 야.시장 운세' 역시 팬이라면 모두가 공감할 수 있다. 마우스가 아닌 라이트 건을 이용해 이색적인 사격을 즐기는 '내가 바로 원탭 전문가'도 마련돼 있다.

 굿즈 스토어에는 발로란트 5주년 기념 컬렉션을 판매한다. 티셔츠, 마우스 패드를 비롯해 요원 '제트'와 '세이지' 등의 미니 피규어를 판매한다. 5주년 팝업에서 선출시되는 만큼 팬이라면 놓치기 아쉬운 기회다.
 평일 행사 첫 날임에도 다양한 관람객들이 팝업을 방문했다. 학교가 끝나고 교복을 입고 방문한 중, 고등학생이나 대학생이 주를 이뤘다. 그리고 VCT 퍼시픽이 한국에서 개최되는 국제 리그인 만큼 다양한 해외 팬들 역시 DDP를 찾았다. 
 행사장을 방문한 한 대학생 팬은 "2022년부터 시작해 벌써 3년 동안 발로란트를 즐기고 있다"라며 "전시 디피도 특색있게 잘 꾸며져 있고, 굿즈 퀄리티도 좋은 것 같다. 여자 친구와 좋은 시간 즐기고 간다"라는 소감을 전했다.
 라이엇게임즈 관계자는 "지난 5년 간 발로란트를 사랑해준 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드린다"며 "앞으로도 플레이어들의 피드백에 귀기울이며 더욱 발전하는 게임을 만들어 나가겠다"라는 포부를 밝혔다.
 팝업을 방문하는 발로란트 팬들에게 "발로란트 5주년 기념 팝업스토어에서 플레이어들이 게임 속에서 느꼈던 다양한 감정들을 다시 떠올리고 즐길 수 있는 시간이 되길 바란다"라고 덧붙였다.
